Personal protective equipment and clothing

When undertaking any outdoor activities at Council facilities, you must protect yourself by wearing:

  • Safety glasses or face mask
  • Ear muffs (for noisy tasks eg, mowing)
  • A wide brimmed hat
  • A long sleeved shirt
  • Long trousers
  • A "broad spectrum" sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30+
  • Enclosed shoes such as joggers or work boots; and
  • Gloves suitable for the task

If you or your facility does not possess appropriate protective clothing or equipment, please contact Council and we will provide you with the appropriate protective clothing and equipment that you require.

An invoice will be forwarded to the Community Operating Committee and/or Incorporated Club for the cost of this clothing/equipment (i.e. facility funds are to be used).
